At the PALME Awards ceremony held in Dubai on 27 April AV Specialist's publisher and managing editor Kevan Jones was honoured with an award for his contribution to the development of the AV industry across the Middle East.
"Over the last few years we've put a great deal of effort into promoting the adoption of professional standards in the region's broadcast and ProAV industry," says Kevan. "Working in a three-way partnership with InfoComm and MECIA we've driven home the message that industry-specific training programmes can boost sales, reduce installation errors and generate extra profit. In the last year more than a hundred AV professionals have participated in our training programmes and over the next year we're planning to role-out even more classes in new locations."
